Once in a while it's pleasurable to have a stroll down the memory lane to those school days... the mountains that we were forced to climb and the fences that often blocked us are still there... all tall and thorny. The home works, the weekly test papers and the periodic revisions were like dreadful demons that stole our peace of mind and forced us to keep our eyes dug deep into the notebooks while the mind grazed on the playgrounds where the luckier lot ran around playing joyfully. The mountains of Do's seemed hard to climb and we hardly had a chance to skip the task. There were too many fences around which never let us do what we enjoyed doing. I used to go green with envy when the boys of the neighbourhood rejoiced playing in the rain. How I wished I could also join them and get drenched! No...never ! There were fences all around me.
